Keri Bjorklund
English Instructor Sheridan College
kbjorklund@sheridan.edu
Just a note about me— I had the pleasure of moving
to Sheridan from Cheyenne in August, 2007. Before
moving to Sheridan, I lived in Cheyenne, Laramie,
Lincoln, Nebraska, and Tucson, AZ. I’m originally
from Flagstaff, Arizona but have lived several
places throughout the years—places like Fagersta,
Sweden, Grand Rapids, MN, and many other places. I
earned a BA in English from the University of
Arizona in Tucson and a Master’s degree in English
from the University of Wyoming. Currently, I’m in
the process of earning my Doctorate in Education at
the University of Wyoming. I have taught
composition, English to Speakers of Other Languages,
developmental writing courses, Intro. to Poetry and
Drama, as well as other literature courses—both in
the classroom and online. I look forward to getting
your perspective on literature.

discussion postings.
The instructor will respond to e-mail within 24 hours during the
business week and a bit longer on the weekends and over

The course requires twice weekly participation in discussions.
Part I of the discussion is always due no later than Wednesday
by 11:55 p.m. and Part II is always due no later than Sunday by
11:55 p.m. The discussions serve several important
purposes, including building relationships between instructor

students check the course regularly, sharing ideas and building
upon each others’ thoughts, creating an information and opinion
base for assignments and papers.
While the twice weekly discussions are a requirement, students
are encouraged to check e-mail and discussion postings as often
as possible. Announcements will also appear as needed to
update and clarify information.
