Student Right-to-Know
Our Student Right-to-Know web page provides information for prospective
and current students. Graduation and transfer rates, safety on campus,
equity in athletics, financial aid, and student privacy are a few information
items the College hopes students and parents will find useful.
The Sheridan College Police Department is committed to prevention of
crime and protection of life and property. Two certified police officers
reside on the Sheridan campus. The City of Gillette provides service
for the Gillette College in Gillette, Wyoming. The College encourages
students to take an active role in their personal safety. This web page
includes information about reporting crimes, safety in residence halls,
weapons on campus, alcohol, student conduct, drug-free philosophy, smoking
policy, parking regulations, and sexual harassment.
The Student Right-to-Know Act requires postsecondary educational institutions
to report the percentage of first-time, full-time, degree or certificate-seeking
students who graduate or transfer within 150 percent of the length of
the program of study. Please refer to this web page for our graduation
and transfer rates.
The Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students
certain rights with respect to their educational records. Please refer
to this section for details concerning FERPA and Directory
Information.
The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) requires the Secretary
of Education to collect information and provide Congress a report on
financial and statistical information on men and women’s collegiate sports. As
an institution that participates in a Student Financial Aid program,
Sheridan College participates in the collection of data. Please visit

Accreditation
Northern Wyoming Community College District is fully accredited
by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North
Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The Nursing Program
is accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission
and the Dental Hygiene Program is accredited by the Commission on
Dental Accreditation.
